Sticky Glass is an NY-based design company developed by Grace Whiteside in 2020 that specializes in multi-functional performative and collaborative glasswork. Sticky forms pull from the natural behavior of glass's fluid molten state, reflecting the queerness of the material’s properties in every vessel. Each object aims to cultivate an elevated experience, taking the mundane out of eating and drinking and turning it into a performative interaction. The colors and compositions reflect Whiteside’s strange and absurd eye, pulling inspiration from worm emojis, underwater creatures to their favorite Dr. Suess illustrations. Sticky Glass is not just a design company but a family of queer, trans, POC, and female identifying folks that work together as a unified team to make loud yet inviting home decor objects.
